Exfoliate or Scrub:

Exfoliation is the process of removing dead skin cells. When you scrub or exfoliate your skin, it removes upper dead skin cells, thus leaving fresh skin behind. It also ensures easy removal of tan. Take a mild scrub for your face and body instead of harsh one. Rub it gently on your skin in circular motion. Do not try to remove all the tan in the first go by over-rubbing your skin as it will only damage your skin. Use scrubs with gentle and soft granules as they do not leave rashes on skin like those with hard granules do.

Here are some natural homemade kitchen remedies that you can try at home. Use these effective kitchen remedies to remove tan.

Use of Lemon to Get Rid Of Tanning

Lemon is the most reliable ingredient for tan removal. It is very skin friendly and is effective too. Take a lemon slice and rub it on the tanned area of your skin for two to three minutes. Be careful while applying it. Make sure that lemon juice does not go into your eyes, cuts or wounds as it can be difficult for you to bear the pains. If it starts itching, remove it at once by washing it off. For those with sensitive skin, there can be unbearable effects of acid on skin so do not try this if you cannot bear the pain.
